The only Half Life game I played was the side scrolling Metal Slug "parody." For those that played Half Life and Half Life 2, did playing Half Life increase the play-ability story wise? Or was HL2 such a departure that it stood on its own?

Also was that Black Mesa Soucre (Mod?) worth looking into

The original Half Life is very old but yes played that one. I would start with Half Life 2. The graphics still hold up to this day. Then I would play Eposide 1 also. Very good. I have probably played Half Life 2 about 4 times all the way through now. Amazing game, still holds up. DO IT!
