Well I tried firefox along time ago and had all sorts of problems with it. Then again it was a beta way back then. But I installed it at home here and it really is nice, and way faster than Internet Explorer. I am glad I switched back. What do you currently use?
 
Ughhhhhh. I just noticed the new front page looks totally different than it does in Internet Explorer.  :smt099 great now I am going to have to figure out a way to make it work right in firefox. :smt011
 
I have used Firefox since I was working with you in Dickinson admin, about 2.5 years now.  I love it, never do I use explorer.
 
Well i fixed it! :-D. It should display identical in both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
 
Fire Fox all the way!!  I know how you feel admin.  As a web developer, i too have the same pain of trying to get things to behave the same in both environments.  I'd vote to kill IE all together!!
 
Wasn't it you admin that told me Firefox sucks when you were at my place the other day?  ;-)

I don't know how much work at the HTML/CSS/PHP layer of the site you do nodle, but there is a pretty nice plugin for Firefox called Web Developer.  Has some pretty nice options, such as viewing CSS, letting you edit the CSS and see what the changes will do. 
 
It was actually css. I had a css template and a css.ie template. Well I originally only edited the ie one  :oops: But thanks for the link. Speaking of Firefox plugins have you tried that Fasterfox plugin? Works well. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/

Taken from the web. In the past, it's worked well.

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up:

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

 
Tried out the new RC2 Firefox (2.0) at work, and am now running it at home. Works so much more faster, less resources, plus has some neat features built into it like spell check etc.
 
I installed RC2 beta as well... thinking I'm gonna have to uninstall and reinstall it and hopefully it works... I'm using right this moment to post this, but there is a large empty gray area at the bottom of the screen below the status bar, save the red ^ symbol that's in there.  The page load indicator thingy also never goes away...
 
I wonder what kind of pluggins she has and if she has any different skins.  ;-)
