Proof that there will be no end of the world in 2012, an all new SimCity (2013) will be released next year! I love the series and have been waiting a long time for the next one. I even heard a few years back the creators weren't planning on creating a new Simcity, and was bummed. Then every so often, I still do a search for "Simcity" to see if there's any possible chance of a new game in the make or any new additions, and just yesterday saw they announced the new game March 12th.

Here's some news and features on it, sounds exciting!

Always been a fan of the series. I just have a hard time getting into them now due to time constraints and also how much more detail the games has. There is so much more micro-management required to build your city. Remember way back how much we played SimCity on the SNES? Good times.

Yep, I remember those days. I believe they have a free online version of the SNES one on the company's own website.

Are you going to get the limited edition? I thought I heard there was a deluxe edition too? On amazon, you can get $20 back for you $59.99. I really enjoyed sim city in computer lab and later after that, but haven't played in so many years. Sounds fun though. Anyone else interested?

I think I'm going to wait a bit towards the actual release date, and just get the regular edition. I've been hearing strong mixed reviews on it, while it's not bad, it changed so much and not the same as the past sim city games people loved.

Reading everyone on the interenet about this game the last couple of days has made me laugh. This thing bombed so bad. :p
