I have been forcing all my work DNS queries to Cloudflare, but recently switched over to Quad 9 for a little bit more security. I just switched my home network over tonight as well. They also support DoH as well.
Quad9 | A public and free DNS service for a better security and privacy
Lawrence Systems had a couple of nice video showing how many malicious sites they stop right at the root. Might be a great DNS resolver for your home/family members network. Gives you a little bit more peace of mind. I still highly recommend using something in conjunction with it though like AdGuard Home or Pi-hole.
