My bet is that they will put some back doors in there for the NSA to open up unsuspecting users to the Federal Governments scrutiny. Good reason to switch to Linux if you haven't already.

This has been going on for awhile, and i know that win2k had it built in but it was easy to remove. This also ties into my theory on why win2k is so expensive to this day and winxp isn't. Basically the NSA has a master key for every OS.

Has there been any discussions on what they could do with the key or have done in the past? Any theories out there that you know of?

Well from the reading i have done on it, basicaly it's a "backdoor", which means they have access to your computer at anytime. I even believe when it's on. The only way to stop it? Pull your ethernet plug. I don't know if it sends data all the time or not. But i am sure it does, just as i am sure windows does to Microsoft. With every Windows release they take away less contol of the basics of the OS, not as much dos anymore more eyecandy. Basically to train the new generation to stay away from the "root" of the system. Less people poking around where they shouldn't be.
