How many of you use a power storage bank of some kind? We have a 10,000 mAh Anker one here at work that we have had for a couple of years that works really well charging all sorts of things. I also borrowed it once when we went out of town and it came in handy being able to plug our phones in...

So goodbye to the old days of jumper cables! I bought myself one of these about 4 or 5 months ago. Noco seems to be the best but there are tons of companies making them now. The build quality is excellent. So I have had it sitting in my garage after the first initial charge and it's still at...
This is an interesting read. Basically during the blackout a single plane was allowed to fly out to Israel. Power say the power was intentionally turned off so nukes couldn't be detected leaving the country.

Who uses a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) on their computer still? I got rid of mine a while ago and just bought really good surge protectors. Who still uses one, and do you recommend a certain brand over another? APC, Cyberpower, Tripplite?
For some reason I started looking at solar power kits tonight on amazon, then that led me to Youtube videos. Has anyone ever looked into them? It looks like they have come along way.

Watching some Youtube videos people really get into them.

The last Chromebox we saw from ASUS went on sale over a year ago starting at a mere $179, and now the company has announced its successor today at its Computex press conference in Taipei. For the uninitiated, Chromebox’s are desktop Chrome OS computers without a keyboard, mouse, or monitor...
I thought I would post this here since there wasn't much on the internet about it and in case someone that stumbles across this post has a problem like I did. So I got a new power supply for my computer yesterday. Removed my old one and installed the new one and did all my wiring nice and clean...
I am a firm believer in them. They are great to have and would recommend them to anyone wanting to protect their computers and equipment. But I hate to say it I am about done with them. Do they work yes. How often does the power go out? Rarely. But here is my biggest complaint. Their batteries...
Driving into work today I noticed the power lines located along side of the road. I thought to myself why not have a 3foot x 3foot solar panel installed on top of each line? It could be easily serviced and have a 360 degree pivot to angle the best for the sun and say a 75 degree angle. It could...
I recently put together a new home for a 18 year old female RES turtle. She's been with us since she was a baby, no bigger than 2" across. I figured a nice little upgrade was in order:
Tank: 75 Gallon
Stand: Custom
Filter: Eheim 2217
Heater: Eheim Jager 250 Watt TruTemp
Substrate: Quikrete...

So I was on my main computer this weekend, and all of a sudden it just shuts down. Kinda fades to black slowly. I was like hmmm. Whats going on. All of a sudden smoke starts to rise out the back of the system. I grab the power cord real fast and unplug. I hate that smell of a burnt power supply...
Why not find a way to put all the biking and energy created by people at a gym to create power and save on the gym's energy costs? Basically have the bikes connected to a power collection unit and then store that power or use it to partially power the gym.
