    Moonfall the movie

Has anyone seen Moonfall yet? I watched the trailer, and it doesn't look too bad. I rented it and will let you know what I think. Anyone else seen it? https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/ivIwdQBlS10?feature=oembed

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

So finished this side story last night. I really enjoyed this one when I saw it in theaters and enjoyed it as well last night. See this is what I am talking about with side story character or fillers to show how the story progressed. No spinoffs just a story. With the Star Wars universe they can...

Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker

So, I finished the last in the series last night. I don't know, the main enemy was dumb but whatever. All that really matter was the setup at the end and Rey with her new lightsaber.

Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi

So, onto the second movie in the latest trilogy. This one brings back missing Luke Skywalker. Boy has he sure gotten old. This one covers the back story on how Kylo Ren became to be. Not too much to this one, just a filler to set up the ending. Still not bad and still better than the prequels.

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi

The third in the original series. Also, my favorite in the Star Wars series. As a kid I loved this one. I had so many toys from this movie. I loved the whole gritty dirty feel of this movie, and the different landscapes. I feel like this closed off the series well.

Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back

Well onto the next. I finished this one last night. One of my favorites. I love the whole snow aspect of the movie. It has one of my favorite models the AT-AT. What an awesome design, along with snow speeders. Again, the special effects hold up nicely. The character mature much more along with...

Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope

I just finished the original, the classic, the one that started it all. It's amazing to think that this was from 1977. George Lucas must be given props to producing this back then. It was a breakthrough movie. So ahead of its time. It holds up so well today as it did back then. No CGI and...

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

So I am on to the third in the series. This was probably the best out of all of the three sequels. It is very slow in the beginning, but then progress towards the end. I think it was an important movie in the series since it ties everything together.

Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones

So, I am onto the second part of the series. One thing I have noticed is the CGI has gotten better since the first one. Still though it looks horrible and unnatural. It has been a long time since I have seen this, and I can't help thinking BORING. It's like a long love story. I haven't finished...

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace

So I thought I would watch the Star Wars movies again since it has been awhile. Started with Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace the other night. Man George Lucas should had stayed away from all the CGI, it looks very dated now. It's funny how the originals still stand up because...

    Quad 9 DNS Servers

I have been forcing all my work DNS queries to Cloudflare, but recently switched over to Quad 9 for a little bit more security. I just switched my home network over tonight as well. They also support DoH as well. Quad9 | A public and free DNS service for a better security and privacy Lawrence...

Firewalla Blue - Cybersecurity Firewall Review

I ran across this little device awhile ago. It is almost like a Pi-hole in some ways, but also does so much more. Just plug it into your network and then you have full control. Also no monthly fees. They do have a new 'blue' version due out in February. https://firewalla.com/

    Let's talk beards

Ok thanks to @jmanz let's talk beards. Were going the opposite of @C Pav and his 24k gold plated razors. What do you use to take care of your beards? @jmanz recommend this. https://www.honestamish.com/ I have grown beard off and on, but I never knew they made a product to make it not it...

    Synology 918+ NAS

So I finally got to set up and play with my new NAS. I am basically switching over from my Drobo. Nothing wrong with the Drobo, but I just wanted a NAS that could do more things. I plan on streaming movies over Plex using this as well. It has so many features it's hard to list them all. The box...

    Microsoft XBox Game Pass review

Microsoft started the Game Pass service earlier this year. I had an initial week or 2 free trial and kept it since. Reason is there are a lot of games I actually wanted and want to play. I will be honest and say that there are many old free GWG games as well as some smaller indie games but once...

    Masterminds

My Sister has been bugging me to see this movie. I haven't been on Netflix in awhile, but I noticed they have it now. I watched it, and it was decently funny. Almost a Napoleon Dynamite feel to it. Strange it was actually based off a true story. I would recommend seeing it if you have Netflix.

    Heat Holder socks

Picked up a pair of these socks over the weekend to try out. Apparently the are suppose to be the warmest socks out there. Once I put my hand up in them I had to try a pair. A little spendy for a pair, and I wouldn't use them as an everyday sock. But if you wanted a sock to wear skiing, to go...
