I read about this earlier this morning. A combination of a prvacy/optimization/bloatware removal tool for Windows. https://optimizerduck.vercel.app/ https://github.com/itsfatduck/optimizerDuck

I sure see a lot of bad things about Windows anymore. Yes it’s true that I personally don’t use it anymore at home, reading everything online lately about their buggy patches bricking pcs, to all their Ai mess being incorporated into their OS. It seems like they have forgotten what an operating...

Why are Windows updates so slow to download and install, almost intrusive? I would say especially since Windows 10 and more so 11 (Cumulative updates especially). At work, we all have new computers with good specs and gigabit ethernet, but each and every one of them I almost have to painfully...

So I don't know how many of you have heard about this invasion of privacy, under the disguise of a 'feature'. Another reason to ditch Windows. https://adguard.com/en/blog/microsoft-recall-privacy-threat-adguard.html...

Well I have been eyeballing the new Mac mini M4 for some time now. I should have hopped on the game a little earlier. I would have gotten more for my Mac M1 mini trade. (I am still trying to decide if I should trade it in or keep it and use it for some sort of project). But in the meantime, it's...

My mom messaged me this morning about a problem she was having with her computer. Now I have been out of the loop for a while and used to use old programs like LogMeIn, TeamViewer from back in the day etc. I wanted something that wouldn't get installed on her machine or my work computer. Low and...

So since I have been browsing around at Apple products lately and reading about their silicon chips, a thought occurred to me in why Tesla doesn’t release a similar product or at least an OS. They have the funds for it and the development. Plus with Windows showing it’s age, I think they could...

So, what are your thoughts on the next version of Windows coming out that will be all hard coded with Ai? There will no longer be any privacy left (even worse than the previous versions of Windows)...

I'm sure some know this here, but this "tip" recently came across at work even new to the seasoned IT coworkers company wide. Since Windows 8, apparently a shut down and startup will not refresh resources to the same affect a restart does. How many times have you tried to troubleshoot...

What does everyone use for their vehicle windows? I have found Spray Away works the best and really gets the hard-to-get bugs off. I have also used Rain X as a follow-up that helps with water, but does eventually fade. I just ordered a 12 pack of Spray Away to stock in my garage.  Sprayway...

Does anyone use Windows Hello, either the facial recognition or the fingerprint reader? I think it would a much simpler way to unlock a computer or my passwords. https://www.howtogeek.com/708986/what-is-windows-hello-sign-in-on-windows-10/

What's your thoughts on the new version of MacOS Windows? https://www.neowin.net/news/here039s-21-screenshots-of-windows-11-inside-and-out/

Microsoft’s Windows File Explorer has existed in the operating system since Windows 95, and it has served as a focal point for design concepts ever since. I’ve seen a variety of mockups over the years that try to redesign the File Explorer and modernize it, but Reddit user Alur2020 has really...

Anyone else not get this update? Seems like my home machines were stuck on the older versions, but my work machine had been on it for awhile now. Anyone else run into this? I had to manually run: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10

Bye Bye IE, it has never been fun. (Netscape Navigator for life!). But it looks like they are going with a Chrome based version. Source

I ran into this after the last build and finally figured it out. If you have a yellow exclamation in the right hand corner and it says 'Windows Defender Actions Recommended' then in windows defender security center, go to 'Virus and threat protection' tab. Click on Windows Defender Antivirus...

Hi all, Yesterday I began working on updating Surface PRO's, however every attempt I made an updating them they failed. I'm a bit curious if anyone here has any solutions to force update? Your device is missing important security and quality fixes. We couldn't connect to the update service...

No big surprises about the timing, given the company’s new release timetable. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/03/windows-server-2019-coming-later-this-year-out-now-in-preview/

They've went backwards here. I can just feel the anger coming on.
