I didn't quite get it either. They are behind the times. In fact I expect the next gen consoles to be 4k now.

Started playing Fantasy Life again. Looks like there are so many new games/demos for it now though.

And here I just bought Earthbound from the eshop since it was on sale....to never play it ever. I did fire up the system and played some NES Remix a week or so ago on the pad while son watched some show on the computer.

Well I couldn't pass up the deal since I never play it anymore. Plus I don't have a very good setup over here anyways.

I don't blame you. Like me I hardly play it. Heck like I said I haven't even opened my new 3dsxl to set it up :(

It should be.  The current consoles are over 2 years old - if they plan to release something newer it better be a more powerful system than those that are 2 years old.  If it wasn't it would be like Dell releasing new PCs running 5th gen Intel procs while Lenovo was shipping new machines with 7th gen.Not that it really matters - it won't be that much more powerful.   Kind of like the rumors of a 4K PS4 -  maybe for video playback.   How much would it cost to build a PC gaming rigcapable of rendering 4K graphics in real-time - I don't see it as economically feasible on the grand scale of a console audience yet.

 
  • NX: Nintendo previously announced that it would release more information about its next system, code-named NX, this year. As the first announcement of any NX information, Nintendo confirmed that NX is scheduled to launch in March 2017. NX will not make an appearance at the upcoming E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles in June and will be unveiled later this year.

I forgot I had a new 3ds xl, what games have I missed out on that you would recommend?
 
Got my 3dsxl all charged, did update, then realized in the time that I have been away nothing really all that great has come out. Nintendo use to pump out a ton of games for this, what happened?
