latest expansion is The Great Dark Beyond

If you have a ton of patience and build your decks you can have fun like this, but this usually happens when you have somewhat of a decent collection: their matchmaking algorithms are still pretty trash

Probably not worth unless you have a ton of time on your hands and can grind up a bunch of free to play cards on the track. I usually only spend $15 per expansion just out of gratitude.

the newest one journey to un'goro is alright actually, a few too many long games sometimes..

i played death knight vs death knight and it went a full 40 minutes last night.. found myself begging for mercy, locked into a furious of battle of wits against what could have possibly been a ghost of my former self, slipping slowly into madness with each grueling moment.

when a match goes ~5-10 minutes it's enjoyable though
 
reason #1994832 why I can't take the game seriously at all:

20 years in: a card comes out called fyrakk the blazing. tooltip: cast 20 mana worth of fire spells at 'random enemies'. Hits itself with a 7 mana fire spell and I lose the game.

???

really fun and balanced
 
man, i never complained about lack of content, i just wanted to be rewarded for time spent overall on your game...

they just keep throwing new crap out over and over and over and over again

how can you appreciate any of it when they don't give any 'movement' to the players themselves?

we don't want you to be part of our game, we want to keep you hooked by throwing new content at you. we want you to believe that you are and when you pay us we will pretend that you will be part of it

i really enjoyed it until the reward track system. every single facet of the game is a "YOU WON!" interaction except actually winning, which you can never do. it's a cellphone game marketing trick

you can win until x variable in time, then you lose your daily lives or whatever until you buy new stuff or the new expansion comes out
