It's totally true, The Beastie Boys are banned from ever playing @ the U of MT since that initial show because of all the destruction of the theatre and some surrounding areas of the campus. I went to the concert in 1987, was 16, and lived south of Missoula(Zootown) in Stevensville. My first and most epic concert I have gone to date. Murphy's Law, Fishbone, then the Beastie Boy's. Murphy's Law was drinking partial cans of Budweiser and pitchers of beer and either pouring directly into the mouths of front rower's or throwing them out into the theatre (it was named Dennison Theatre then). Then Fishbone came out with their johnson's hanging out of their zipper's, pretty much drinking and doing the same wild show. Then the Beastie's came out with the 20ft go go girl cage, ~400 cans of Budweiser beer (they were a sponsor apparently of the show) and the 20ft hydraulic dick in a box. After the last song of the Beastie Boys, they probably dumped something like 100 beers onto the front row causing a stampede up to the front to get beers, thus trampling on and hurting quite a few concert goers. I was on the first floor GA, sitting 3/4's of the way back, watching the whole thing. Gnarliest concert I've ever been to. Wish I still had my long sleeve concert shirt from venue. Worth ~$600-$1000 for them now :-O
