I doubt I would do a basement in your area. Not needed. Have to have them in other parts of the country though. Or at least a storm shelter.Just talked with a home builder in our area, and I was asking him how things are going and if they have new builds going on. He said ya, but then he goes man the prices are going up across the board on all building materials, not just wood or sheet rock or PVC but everything he said. I said is it due to the tariffs and he said he don’t know, all he knows is it’s getting out of control. He said the starting home for our area is 1.2 million now to build. I said remember when it was a trend to build unfinished basement back in the mid 2000s. He said the only do crawl spaces now, he said with the price of concrete now no one does basements anymore.
People do like their daylight basements around here, besides that everything is just a 4' crawlspace.I doubt I would do a basement in your area. Not needed. Have to have them in other parts of the country though. Or at least a storm shelter.
Same here.I looked yesterday at our local real estate here, there are so many new listings, but here is the kicker, they are all at insane prices.
This was my fear of the significant increase in property investment firms buying up residential houses. That should never be allowed to happen.
