What Did You Buy Recently? New Gadgets, Tech & Other Purchases

Do you have the nook in your possession? I'd be interested in your opinions.
Yup used it the last couple of days. First off there are basically 3 options out there the Sony (which i won't even discuss since most don't care for it ) The Kindle and the nook. I really researched on both of them but decided to go with the nook. To me it had more functions that I wanted. One of the main things that I really wanted in it was the ability to connect to a normal wireless access point, and not only 3g. In areas like mine you may not be able to connect to their network. I also like the touch screen. Plus more books on B&N and also better organized in my opinion. Anyways I was a little skeptical on how I was going to like it, but so far it's awesome, it feels like I am just reading a normal book, but lighter and no page turning. In fact I seem to be reading faster and it. I have read over 200 pages in way more time than reading a book. I also bought a book online and it was simple and easy and fast. maybe took 20 seconds. Another nice thing is the Android OS. They have a new update out plus there is suppose to be another new one this month. I do hope they work on the interface a little. It could use some sprucing up. Some people complain about the page turning is slow on e-readers, but I didn't see a problem. I mean how faster can you get? Over all I am very impressed with it. It will be the future of books, just wait till they start doing textbooks on them. Kids will no longer have to lug all these books in their backpacks anymore. BTW with the nook it has 2gig of memory built in - roughly 1,500 books. But with the nook you get a microsd expansion so you can add another card. Plus a user-replaceable battery. If you have never seen one goto your local B&N and check them out. Also if you have never sen e-ink it is amazing. If you have anymore questions let me know. I should have a case later this week coming for it.

One more thing I forgot to mention about the nook is it also does audiobooks, podcasts, and plays MP3s.
