What Did You Buy Recently? New Gadgets, Tech & Other Purchases

picture window for dining room. It'll be nice to have one that opens. Hope to have it installed late spring, once it warms up and dries up too.

Tax break for the new window also?

I hope so. When we did the other windows a 2 years back, we got %30. We should have done them all at the same time, but we were debating a sliding patio door. I think some of the tax rebates expired last year or will soon.

I'm an official tool junky now. I purchase just under $3G's on tools. This inludes a bunch of precision measurment tools (digital calipers, angle finder, etc..), various clamps, safety glasses, 3M sealable air respirator half mask, japanese pull saw (fine cutting), and many more.

The big purchases were my:

Milwaukee Circular Saw (3.5HP) with adjustable handle and motor on right side. ($140, cheaper of the tools).

Milwaukee 2.25HP Router set with fixed and plunge base. I also bought template guides and router bits sets.

BenchDog Router table with Protop precision fence.

Ridgid R4510 portable table saw with gravity rising stand (not cheap)

Milwaukee 6955-20 12" Sliding compound miter saw (the expensive top line one). This is one of the most versitatle tools though, you get what you pay for. Also a Ridgid 16Gallon Wet/Dry vaccuum with detachable blower rated at 265mph (but not a very high CFM).

That's some nice equipment there ryanator. But you do good work with wood so they are worth it. Most tools are lifetime purchases. Milwaukee makes some excellent stuff. My dad has quite a few of them.

Great tools product great work. I bought a cheap $130 worksite table saw from Runnings and squared everything up, initially it seemed to cut good on plywood. But when I started to cut oak, it was creating blade marks all over the edge and it was not sqaure (I even made sure I ran it through nicely), so I'm taking it back and decided to go with a "high scale" portable saw. It's not a cabinet saw, but has gotten good reviews (has spacious table top, good fence and miter guide (most important).

Bought Torchlight on XBox Live.

Thinking of getting MLB 11 The Show for the PS3 as well as Dragon Age Ultimate since I hear it's 25 at Kmart.
