Unfortunately, its panned @ amazon. The unit has dusty mirrors and one of the plastic lenses seems to be incomplete.

Yes, they are, but they are Windows Phone 7, not the old Window Mobile 4.x,5.x.6.x devices you may have seen before. Huge improvement.
Are you VZW? I switched and love it, ATT is much better price wise. VZW is canning a lot of their programs lately (new every two, etc).
Lastly, you just bought a > 1 year old device that is bound to be outdated in a few months, and you'll be stuck with it.
You should really take a look at the other options out there. Come to Fargo, I'll give you a demo and you'll be sold. Iphone 4 is old news, so at the very least look at a more current droid if you have to be an "popular" and anti-WP7. I assume you have a 30 day trial period in which you could look at something else
Yes Verizon, Alltel/ATT is horrible when going back to the farm area. I switched to Verizon for that very reason. I know they are more spendy but glad to pay it for coverage. As far as the device being outdated, doesn't bother me in the slightest. In fact, this is my first "smartphone", I don't need the latest and greatest with everything. I have seen the droids, they are all around me at work. Not that impressed. I like the Apple interface with the Ipod touch and such, so I know what I'm getting. As long as it gets signal where I want to go, I don't see myself taking it back. Yes, there is the 30 day trial. Will you come over and kick my dog while you are at it?
