What Did You Buy Recently? New Gadgets, Tech & Other Purchases

Fancy brush there. We have some similar things from Oral B at our place.

I've been slacking a bit on this stuff lately. Some quick ones I can think of:

New TV stand

Gears of War 3 Epic Edition

Arkham City Collectors Edition

Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides (3D BD)

Ratchet and Clank: All-4-One

I'm sure there's other games/movies I'm not thinking of

no joke I got BF3 limited edition for the xbox. Also recently picked up

Captain America 3D BD

Kinect Sports Season 2

Gunstringer (Kinect)

Forza 4 (limited)

Office Pro 2010

Preordered Uncharted 3, Skyrim and MW3

I signed up for the annual pass, awesome new mount in wow, beta keys, and Diablo 3 free!

I bought on of these micro-heli'shttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Og3n79RHL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
I flew it for about 3 minutes before carving a mark into the front of the dishwasher. The chopper is no worse for it though.

I also bought a rough guide to the universe by John Scalzi. It is basically a sight seer's guide to the universe, telescope users guide and science lesson rolled into one.
HAHA that's hilarious!

They are pretty resilient little buggers. I've crashed mine into things many times and haven't ruined the rotors yet. I did have one of the little stabilizer bars between the top roter and the other rotor-esque thing above it come off, but it was easy to just snap back into place. Your roters must be a little more heavy duty than the Air hogs though, as I've never seen them leave a mark on anything I crash into.

Been lazy lately so here we go:

Not sure if Madden was posted before so.......

I also picked up Skyrim, but mine was the collectors edition. Also have MW3 hardened, but I think I mentioned before pre-ording that.

Lastly I pre-orded Assassins Creed Revelations this morning (comes out tomorrow). Needed one more pre-order to fulfill 5 preorders and get my $100 best buy credit

On a dare, I bought

So at work there were some people how in another office there were several zombie fans that had all sorts of zombie books. I said "Oh yea, the zombie survival guide...it looks like an Army Field Service manual." They said "So you have it?" I said I didn't and that it was too expensive, but I had it my cart @ Target several times. I was asked how much would I pay for a book about zombies..."Ten dollars?" I said no, that was to much...seven dollars was the next 'bid.' "How about if I can find it for seven dollars, will you buy it?" I said sure. Someone found it on buy.com for 7.67. Well that was close enough...ordered it last Tuesday and it this Monday evening.

Pro tip: Don't over/under charge your battery. I don't know how I did it, but years ago, my 40G ipod 3rd gen stopped holding a charge. I finally swapped out the battery today. Oh, the tool kit I picked didn't have a torx driver, so I had to by one at the hardware store.

Picked up a few things on Black Friday deals:

2 * Xbox 360 4GB w/ Kinect bundles @ WalMart (one for me, need a third for media center to living room TV, one for a gift)

Some cheap games that will also be gifts this coming Xmas

I have bought some books that I don't recall posting here. I am trying to catch up on "classic science fiction."

Based on Captain Matt Gallagher's controversial and popular blog, which the U.S. Army shut down in June 2008, Kaboom is a sardonic, unnerving, one-of-a-kind Iraq war memoir. "At turns hilarious, maddening and terrifying," providing "raw and insightful snapshots of conflict" (Washington Post),

Kaboom

resonates with stoical detachment from and timeless insight into a war that we are still trying to understand.

I received my Logitech LS-21 Speaker and sub yesterday and just hooked them up. I guess this is what $23 sounds like.
