Your take on social media censoring?

I have dealt with it, both for misunderstandings about humor or because of disagreements about agendas.

I like to look back to the 90s as an example, though. Censorship still existed then, it just affected far fewer people because of the idea of the national mindset.

We had syndicated TV, radio and the newspaper. All of that was filtered by the FCC, etc, to protect American people & interests. (what we were supposed to think)

When the flow of information became too hard for a small few to control they started a continuous push towards outsourcing and globalization.

I have edited this because it is more what I would do if it were my fault, but just to sum up what I think, it all takes an act of God to fix.

while I was ranting I thought of the term I was looking for: decentralization.

When decentralization benefits the common person in the US, we will be heading a step in the right direction

*edit* it may never happen. just like the bible says, the times will get worse as time goes on.. but we can still hope

Going back to what I said before, I just wanted to add that 'they'(whomever would benefit from censorship) underestimate the next generation. I don't think it's necessary to dissolve wealth in order to find balance. I'm just saying that, from my perspective, they have underestimated the common citizen and their families, and it would benefit everyone to 'try' to see the best in life as a remedy. Personally I can only do that with God's help otherwise I just get instantly pissed at what I don't have and mudsling
 
Many others and I have noticed that most of the war with Iran and Israel has gone dark on X (Twitter) since yesterday. It is like the algorithm has gone mostly dark on videos or anything war-related. I know Elon promoted a non-censoring platform, but for some reason, the war footage has gone almost completely dark. Have you noticed way less coverage lately as well?
 
I canceled my X subscription today. I didn't mind it when free speech was available, but now that it is censored, I am no longer supporting it.

Good for you for standing up for what's right and against hypocrisy.
 
The problem is X still has "bad" employees in high positions. They are probably talented, but their core beliefs are against what many of us believe in. And too many of them aren't even native to our country which compounds the problem.
