I thought it was going to flop though?
It will flop, along with us being taken down with it.
So then it will be successful. Not a flop.
I am starting to realize that, yes, AI is the downfall of humanity, but not because of the AI itself, but because of the journey we are on in achieving it. It's the towns we will destroy by taking their clean water and drying it up. It's the hardship that will be placed on already struggling families trying to pay their power bills, only to have them increase. It's the land that will be destroyed for these massive data centers. It's the cost of rising electronics prices, or the lack of even purchasing electronics due to the hardware shortages. It's the loss of privacy all in the name of AI. eventually we reach the end, when it's not only too late, but we realize that AI was not as great or helpful as we once all thought, only for it to be too late to turn back. What seems like "oh, it's not really affecting me right now" will eventually cause people to panic. All these cute cat/funny AI things being generated are all part of the plan to make you think how innocent it all is. You haven't even seen the hardware implementations yet, which will take a few years. You think crime is high now, what are you going to do when people are out of jobs all over the place? You think they are going to be comfortable and relaxed? It's gonna sneak up on everyone real fast. The journey's end is truly the end.
Yup it's always a supply and demand thing with metals. They will improve technology to get it out of the ground more efficiently and prices will come down. It's a great time to be a minor right now though. Low fuel prices, great gold price. $$$
I don't think people understand how big a problem unemployment is going to be coming up. I mean It is going to happen all at once and be overwhelming. People aren't going to know what to do. The only jobs that are going to be safe (for now) is blue collar jobs. Office/Tech/Programmers are going to be the first to go.
