You know I am thankful that I am not really into the game as some of you think. There are people that really take this game way too seriously. For example, I was an officer in our guild. This means I am under the GM. There are about 4-5 of us. They are always wanting us to do things like run the guild bank, recruit members etc. I never really do this stuff though. Well here last week I came home, hoped to play a little and the GM wants to talk with me on discord. So, I hope on and she starts yelling at me saying a member left the guild because they said I kicked them from a group. I never even heard of this person. She has another officer join and he sticks up for me but she is still going off, I interrupted her and told her, this is just a game and not real life and I am just here to play and game, have fun and relieve stress. Signed off and left the guild. People need to realize that this is just a game.

Even if you had done that, I would still say that this person has some problems with prioritizing life and games. Even though I have been kicked for doing nothing wrong a bunch of times, I usually feel bad but then recoup and try again the next day or something. It's never worth trying to make others lose their peace over, and if it does make me lose my peace, I tend to re-evaluate myself and do other things.

I know exactly how you feel, though. People oftentimes have the perception of being more powerful than they are - it is offputting

I joined a guild for people who are older and not competitive a few weeks ago that I heard about on the forum, and usually I'm the only person online. Part of me thinks it's not real, but I'm just rolling with it anyway. Games, eh.

Keep up the good fight though.. water off a duck's back

Thanks man, it was strange felling, still is. I was pretty heavily involved in our guild and stood out. I went from talking to not even saying a word anymore. It's strange, it feels like breaking up with a girl and still having to see her every day and not knowing what to say.
 
hah ya. I get the creeps when I play the game sometimes too. People will just start randomly bitching at me and no one else in the party. It makes no sense if it's always my fault, feels like the devs are playing a power game or some sh*t tbh.

I played melee and dps isn't the same on a meter depending on the encounter because I have to actually avoid boss cleave and AoEs that surround the tank. The ranged DPS is saying my DPS sucks and talking trash for no reason. It literally always falls on me, though. Pretty retarded. I politely explained to them that's not how encounters and overall vs current DPS work on an addon, in a /whisper, and they go "i have no idea what you're talking about".

Same old same old .. ignored em, but the only reason the game is 'hard' is because jerks try to lie about how it works

praying teh serenity prayer now :|

oh and p.s. i was also using defensive CDs on rotation and was the only person in the group taking damage.. everyone else soaked all the dmg and was getting insta healed by the healer -- i'm actualyl pretty sure the game is broken now and they're just trying to tweak the programming by recording individual sessions.

HAHA ya @jthock , I knew there was a torch, and we were blind. Man, it has been so many years since I ran that. I used to spend so much time in there as well. I had a great time running with you tonight, we should do that more often.
