What's new

I saw something yesterday that made sense to me. A resume is just a list of jobs you don't want to do anymore.
This could be anywhere from 0 to 100 percent accurate.  Typically your career will be a number of jobs that in some form are building blocks toward your next career step.  They might be jobs you absolutely never want to do again, or it might just be a list of jobs you have taken on while aspiring to move toward the next step in a career.

This photo really hit me the other day. I understood it, it was me. This is what happened to me when I did IT. Even though I loved it, it was no longer a personal love but was being shared. I have found that personal love again with technology.

Someone's Worth:

So yesterday afternoon I was getting ready to get off and a co-worker came in and was hanging out in the Boss's office door. I could tell something was up. He finally said "I need to turn my two weeks in". After I heard that I left so they could get some privacy. But after he left I could tell the look on my Boss's face. It was that stare off in space look. Like the realization of what someone actually does hits you. I think we all take someone's worth for granted to many times. Not just in work but our daily life. We all come to rely on that person or persons that are always there. Only when they are gone do you actually realize all that they did for you in a work environment or a personal one.

I had a phone call on Saturday offering me a job that I applied for over a year ago. I found it funny. "Yes Ma'am I waited a full year without work hoping that you would call and offer me a job". I didn't say that but kinda wanted to.

So how's everyone's jobs been going lately?
Holy cow, I was surprised to see this when I came on tonight. It has been quite a long time since this thread.

I will comment on mine, all I can say is that I came to a realization years ago on a waterslide of all places. I realized that life is a lot like a waterslide, once you're in it and slowly going with the flow of water there is not much you can do but just hold on for the ride and wait for it to be over. That is how my life is anymore.
