These guys have good coffee and they have cloth/mesh-filtered pods so you don't have to worry about hot plastic pollution stuff. I'm not sure if it's true, but I heard that continually having steaming hot water running over plastic might increase some risk of cancer. I'm not really sure about it but whatever.

I also use coffeemate natural bliss vanilla creamer
 
I am also using the wide-awake company k cups and they are the same design as above. Why environmentally friendly it's just that much less plastic for that hot water to be flowing though.
 
My dad showed me he went back to an old coffee percolator for his coffee machine now.
 
If you're buying K-cups, Costco has a box of mixed Starbucks flavors 72 count for only $29.99. Pretty decent deal considering they are like $14 at a store for only 12.
 
I don't know how many of you "de-scale" your coffee maker. I used to use just white vinegar. I see they sell de-scaling solutions. Well, I looked it up wondering what the difference is? The de-scaling solutions use citric acid, which does a faster and better cleaning than white vinegar. I just thought I would pass that information along.
 
I wanted to update; I cleaned my coffee maker using the official de-scaler solution. But in the future, I think you can do just as well using white vinegar.
 
I picked up a mister pack of k cups at Costco last time. That’s the way to buy your coffee, talk about saving some money. Good quality as well.
 
Ever notice how coffee tastes better out of certain mugs? The best one I have is from Betty's Pies near Duluth. @jthock I'm certain knows the place. I think it is because it is a very thick mug. Not only the handle but also the rest of it.
 
Hey @jmanz i just looked it up, it's in two harbors, 35 min east of here up the coast of lake superior; we live right near spirit mountain off of the highway a little - downtown duluth and east duluth are pretty spread out and 10+ miles past east duluth is two harbors. I am still fairly new to the area & my mom hasn't been there, but we decided we're gonna go. Thanks for the tip!!

looked it up, split rock lighthouse is 17 miles farther past betty's pies. :)

Love that area! Betty's Pies is pretty popular so be prepared for quite a few people....maybe not so bad now that it's not peak tourist season. I don't think you'll be disappointed! The pies are legit.
 
Almost done with our second huge box of Kirkland coffee. It's good if you want to save a lot of money, but driving the same flavor over and over gets really old. I don't think I will buy another for sometime.

A little late but better than never! Picked up a whole banana cream pie, chocolate pie, & 1 slice of strawberry rhubarb, complete with merch. It was jam packed but we were able to get in the carryout line quickly. The inside was full and every parking spot taken :) grabbed some mcdonalds coffee and hit the road.

Other than that just hiking and a lot of bike riding
