Has anyone ever been around them? I know I use to make fun of them back in the day cause I thought they were junky (they may have been) But their new generation ones seem quite nice. They have nice looks, plus they have an awesome warranty (even better than some of the larger automotive manufactures). Anyways my sister just picked up a little Rio and I got to sit in it etc. I must say it actually had a quality feel to it. Plus she paid very little for a brand new vehicles. She was going to buy a used vehicle at first but ended getting a new vehicle with no miles on it and full warranty, better gas mileage and saved money. Anyone else been around any of the new Kias and what did you think?

I really haven't been around them, and despite looking nicer now than they used to, I have problems letting go of the stigma they have. I feel the same way you did, the name Kia just makes me think of cheap crap, not quality.

I know what you mean. When we were home for a visit and I heard she was bringing it out I was like this thing is gonna look like some plastic wrapped in tinfoil. I went out and checked it out though and it had some nice styling to it. When I sat inside I was impressed also. In fact It felt really good. For a small cheap car I was impressed. It felt better than my Honda I drive. I guess I would check them out if I was looking for a cheaper vehicle. Now I can see why I am seeing so many on the road lately.

A friend of mine owns a KIA, and he says the parts are too expensive. He works at a auto parts desk.

Personally, I wouldn't trust them as far I could throw one in a snow storm.

A guy at work has a Kia. I think he likes it pretty well. I don't really care for the looks of it though. They are getting more popular however I wouldn't buy one at this time.

We had a Sedona (mini van.) We traded it in for a Rondo, that was a mistake, should have kept the minivan. The rondo is a little hatchback. It was too small. The other criticism of the rondo was that there wasn't enough weight to keep traction on the back end. Also, we kept going through tires. 2 pairs in the rear and that was it, we traded it in for a Suburban. If I was ever in the market for another minivan and had to be concerned about cost, I would consider the Sedona again.

I don't plan on being in the market for a minivan again though.

You know me and @jmanz have had this conversation about Kia vehicles before. Every time I get around them I like the way they look and the features they come with. Plus they are so cheap. I just don't know how long they last though. They are produced in Korea, and some of Korea electronics are top notch, but I have always wondered how the vehicles hold up as far as engines go. They even produce a sports care now. What is everyone's take on them? I want to buy one just to see how long it would last.

I went for a test drive in a Kia Sorento last year but I felt it to be too small and cramped for me. It drove just fine in town but didn't take it on the interstate though.

I forgot about that, their new Stinger is pretty sweet. I got to see one up close and personal. Brembo brakes, the works.

Somone buy me one of these. Every time I see them on the road, they are a very nice-looking vehicle. Their SUV lineup are sexy looking, especially the Telluride.
