Lawn mowing

I had to run up to look at a project and they had an Egopower mower there and had the battery sitting on the table. It's not as heavy as I thought, I asked him about it and he said it works really well, but only gets about an hour of mowing out of a battery, but like he said, if you have a small enough yard they work great.

When your Honda dies in 20-25 years you can get one and let us know how it works.

My yard is looking decent lately, with the low hung sun and not so intense on your yard anymore, my yard is looking good and the water is very effective.

After record breaking July rain, we have hit the annual dog-days. Mowing has slowed way down finally.

Got all of my yard mowed with my push mower last weekend. I did my last mow of the season and set my mower real low and mulched the ground. This way the leaves don't stick and blow off during the fall.

It's almost that time again.

Mowed for the first time of the year yesterday. Right on track with the last couple of years, within a day. Honda ran like a champ again.

We’re not quite there yet. Still somewhat yellow in the lawns around here. Supposed to get snow today. The neighbor down the road I saw mowed though but he has been running his underground sprinklers, even though we still have freezing temps.

I'm not ready for this. I know I should not be burnt out but I am. Have to check and clear out the sprinkler valves as suspect the 5th zone may have something not allowing to close fully since far back sprinkler has been leaking. I even had it and another replaced last year and still leaks. Then eventually have to activate them and mark for aeration. THen have plans to plant good grass in back along the fence mainly as have a bunch of bare, dead and weed growing spots. Think it gets too much sun and cooked from the refelction of the vinyl fence so will see how it goes. THEN the long summer fo mowing all the time.

This is what is happening. Might want to look into a different seed. They have grass that does better in intense heat and sun. The problem is that it might have a different green hue to it. Also, I planted some drought-resistant grass in a spot, and it barely takes any water.

We've had a lot of rain this summer, far above average for us. Lately I've been mowing about every 3-4 days so far. Grass looks excellent but pretty soggy right now.
