With the latest lawsuit. How many of you feel that these are dangerous drinks? I have co-workers that chug these all day long. They are liquid cocaine. Have you ever looked at the ingredients? No one is looking at the prolonged effects of these. Think about what these do to your liver and your heart? I stay away from these. Coffee is one thing, but these man made energy drinks are another. I have head a Red Bull or two, but I have never touched a Monster or Rock Star. I think you will see more of these lawsuits in the future. So what's your take, do you drink them?

Never liked Red Bull but I used to have the occasional Rock Star. This was years ago. Just think how bad it is for you when you start mixing booze with energy drinks. Can't remember the last time I've had one, probably in a Chuck Norris.

Well booze is one thing at least you are watering it down with alcohol. I work with guys that at 8 a.m. they are pounding them and then by the end of the day they have gone through about 4 of them. This is everyday mind you.

Seriously, "watering them down with booze" makes them better? Yes, who doesn't want a hyper buzzed up drunk? If you are going to defend alcohol then you can't say anything negative about any other supplement. Too much alcohol is bad just like too much of an energy drink.

I have a monster before every test. I really do feel it helps me focus when taking a test. There is always a "post buzz" crash about 2-3 hours later though. These energy drinks use vitamin B3, or niacin, in large dosages to cause vasodilation to organs like the brain and muscles. This allows for a larger pipeline to get the massive amounts of caffeine and whatnot to the target area. I wouldn't drink one everyday, but the occasional one isn't terrible unless you are very sensitive to things like caffeine.

I picked up a Celsius energy drink today. I saw someone drinking one the other day and it looks good. I only drank maybe a quarter and poured the rest out. I didn't like the way it made me feel with only a few sips. I just wanted a pick me up for the afternoon. Next time I will just stick with coffee.

Which kind did you try? I like the mango peach when I need one. Not often mind you.

I have a few Red Bulls every July for “cheat meals month”, otherwise I have a strict sugar intake, less than 20g of sugar daily. I like Hu-Hot/Mongolian BBQ but there’s only 1 restaurant like it in the state pretty much. I like a big plate of stir fried noodles/meat/veggies and a big ole Red Bull.

My dad still has a Monster every other day pretty much at 70+ years old.

There was a time that having 1 Red Bull per day caused me to have heart flutters/palpitations, though. Definitely restrict em personally
