I am basically like you guys. I would like to play Zelda, but is it worth just buying an entire console for?

The game is incredible if you put the time in, especially once you increase your health, stamina and have fast travel locations start opening up.  Whether it's worth buying an entire console is very debatable and depends on your level of interest or love for Zelda.  I own a PS4 just for exclusive titles and I own a Switch for exclusives.  If zelda is the only one you'd ever play, probably not - then again you could buy the console, the game, play it and probably sell used and just have essentially a small rental fee. Personally I find the purchase was worth it, but I also plan to play some Mario Kart, get the Kirby/Yoshi/Mario/Donkey Kong type of games that will release for it, so it will get more use than just Zelda eventually.

 
Fast forward, months after this release I never hear anything about this console anymore. Is the hype dead?
 
I think you just don't watch the right places.  It's still tough to find - there was just some hype about GameStop going to have them in stock (don't recall if it was this week or next they were supposed to have them).

The biggest hype I suppose isn't around at the moment because no big exclusive titles have dropped

 
The switch is doing fine and is still hard to find and people are still wanting it. Probably doesn't make the news as much since the big games have released and the next big releases are yet to come.

I still don't get this, I was in the closest Walmart a few weeks ago and their Nintendo case was completely stocked with them.

Well consider where you live and the stereotypical view of anyone that lives there.  I haven't been in a store that's had them in stock for more than a day since the thing launched.

 
Gamestop had these in stock today, just got them in I guess. I forgot to check Walmart when I was there.

When did I ever not mention my PS4?  I got it as a gift, and I don't really ever secretly enjoy it - because it is almost never turned on.  I did turn it on last weekend to update my password since I had to change it after the PSN hack, then applied an update, bought Uncharted 4, then shut it off again and haven't looked at it since.
 
The switch is so versatile and good. I mean come on. Home console and a portable in one. Just do it. Zelda is amazing. There are other great games too and Mario soon. 
 
So I see these in our Walmart in stock once again (even sent @C Pav proof). I was considering it, but I passed then got home and started to research it. I don't know, it's barely more powerful than the Wii U, I know I know it's not all about graphics, but sooner or later you are going to run out of power/room. I don't know kinda turned me off on the unit once I stared to do research on it. I think I will pass.
