I don't know, they want to make it all seem like it's self-conscious, but is it really? What came first the programmer or the Ai?
Well it's not yet but early yet. Even though AI has been around for a long time, they are finally throwing huge money at it. Will be in the trillions soon.
I'll keep saying this, not trying to be a downer, but AI will not lead to the better of society with the same wealthy people in the world. It will be used for their gain.
They thrive off seeking power which they need by control over others. It's in the nature of the majority of them. It's sociopathic nature and there are many articles on it.

Ask yourself why the big push for Ai lately? What benefits will you see from it? Tech support that you won’t ever be able to talk to a human? A robot voice drive through line? No there are other motives at play here, ask yourself who is funding it behind the scenes and what is the rush? There is a election at stake coming up.
