We might be in for a long year, especially once the Q2-4 earning seasons reports comes out. So July through the beginning of next year, depending on how the tariffs shake out. We could be in a sideways market for a while with some more dips coming. We still have room to descend with a flattening until better clarification comes out. So another 2022 market, U-shape (not a quicker V). The Q1 earnings coming out right now until a few more weeks were expected to be mostly positive, but with the tariff talk and preparation with special taxes and fees hitting big companies, it deflated a lot of the positivity. Also, remember the 90 day pause of tariffs for all the other countries will come back up around the July time frame as well, who knows how that will go.
Buffet was famous for saying "never bet against America" a few years back and now doom-Sayers and anti-Trump rhetoric will say the sky is falling and the US dominance will falter, but there are many major companies and for example, from the tech sector side of things, remember many of the "Magnificent 7" tech CEOs were at Trump's inauguration or in close talks with him. I'm sure he doesn't want to crash down to zero the market. Wealth transfer will take place unfortunately against common people, but need to be patient, that's if one can afford to. Also, all major stock markets are globalized anyways, and the major companies are global as well. They all affect each other and they probably have more leverage than we think. Also, tech is in almost everything and globalist love the fact if they can use it to automate or replace anything as possible, so it won't go away, if it does, we have worse things to worry about.
Also, never bet against greed, the US stock market is ripe for it and the whales and other big investors will come back to play at the casino and throw many quarters in the slot machines again. It goes in cycles, as the saying goes, "this time is different", not really, it may appear different, but same concept. Will the US dominance fall, not so much, but can likely have to share it's prior dominance more than before.
