I was watching a show last night, and they were talking about hedge fund quantum Ai programers. Basically, they hire these smart kids to write algorithms to program Ai with, to buy and sell stocks. I mean, how can a normal Joe even compete with things like this? Always buying and selling instantly, following social trends, and always working 24/7.

It would be hard to compete for day traders. Not hard if you just buy and hold for long periods of time. Which is what should be done anyway.

That drop in the market is unbelievable, I’ve have never lost that much in a single day. Almost wiped me out of a year of gains.

The more you have in, the bigger amount of the daily swings. You get numb to it after awhile. Both up and down.
