Stocks, Investing and Retirement Accounts

Same thing as before, if you look at 2008-2009's downfall, it followed the same trend.
I didn't even pay attention back then. I saw I started to kinda learn about it about a year ago. Plus @jmanz always gets off on this stuff so he kinda got me interested in in.

If I was to take stock out in companies right now, I would invest in wind power. It is going to be the next big thing.

So I see the Feds raised the interest rates finally. @jmanz was correct when he said before the end of the year. I still have to laugh because they think the economy is recovering. I guess when you are rolling in cash like them it's easy to think that way.

Right now, we are in total uncertainty. And the uncertainty is going towards a low point.  Anyone who says this or that are never totally right, that goes for anyone in any profession.  There are some predictors that only influence what could happen, but never will direct it.  Oil could go above $100 or $150 tomorrow in the right conditions (total war broke out, or some other political event).

Best thing is not to have all your eggs in one basket, that's for sure.

I see Walmart is closing 269 stores. I always said you know your country is doing bad when Walmart and McDonald's are doing bad.

To kind of counter that, I did see this in an article (most are Walmart Express Stores and they are on plan to open more Supercenters next year):

The closings include 154 locations in the US — 102 of which are the company's smallest stores, called Walmart Express, which have been in pilot since 2011.
Walmart has more than 11,000 stores worldwide, including 4,655 stores in the US.The retailer said it still planned to open more than 100 US stores in the next year, including 50 to 60 Supercenters, 85 to 95 Neighborhood Markets, and seven to 10 Sam's Club locations. Internationally, Walmart plans to open 200 to 240 stores within the next year.

That's true but they also said they are eliminating 16,000 jobs along with it.

That will cause a good hit.On another note, I don't know why I said "to counter that", its sounds dumb and rude towards your point.  I meant to add it to towards the article itself of the future plans Walmart may have.
