been playing league of legends/TFT and hearthstone/HotS while i wait for my authenticator issue on wow classic to be resolved (i changed my phone and downgraded from smartphone to dumb phone due to telemarketers and scam texts)
I am not someone who wants to judge the world you know, but I still don't like the deceptive model of loot packs and grinding content to unlock more, then having to pay more to unlock them. The currencies are ridiculous and overpriced and deceptive and I really don't appreciate that. They say you don't have to pay to play, but they definitely alter your experience to get you to buy more.
The core games are fine; it's the evil or manipulative intent behind them that makes me cautious at least. I want to buy or pay just as an appreciative gesture or token of satisfaction, but being tricked into doing it by enticing me feels hollow and wrong. IDK how else to put it
I can even go a long time just appreciating the game without winning at all, but then they get bots or reps to chat with you or pretend to be players. Smells like that anyway
The biggest lie is that it's an 'open market' with a bunch of deceptive red tape and bureaucracy in between it. ANYWAY
I'm not really looking forward to gaming that much right now based on the patterns in life I have witnessed. thanks for reading
