I ordered some new spark plugs for my older car. It looks like about a 20 minute job. I am wayyyyyy overdue.

I replaced some windshield wipers all the way around on our car yesterday. They were way long overdue; the ends were starting to rip. Amazon has some good deals on them.

I replaced my spark plugs in my car over the weekend. It was a fairly simple job, took about a half hour, long overdue. I kind of got nostalgic throwing away my old plugs, to think of all the miles they have been with me.

I took on a small project this weekend and cleaned my throttle body. I also cleaned my mass airflow sensor as well.

I am starting to wonder if doing my oil changes is worth it. I used to enjoy it. But now, the vehicle warranty is getting pickier. For the extra cost, I am thinking of taking it to the dealership so I won't have any problems.

I replaced two worn-out rear lift struts last night. Was easy taking the old ones out, but putting the new ones on was somewhat a pain. One trick is that when you remove the first, the rear hatch will be too heavy for it to hold itself up, so take a pair of vise grips and clip them right where the gas strut meets, and it will hold itself up. You will have to repeat the process for the other side as well.

I replaced the power steering fluid in two of my vehicles this weekend. Using the dilution method, it wasn't that hard at all. Make sure you are using the correct fluid. Honda and Acura use their own proprietary fluid. Others, like Ford, actually use transmission fluid. Each vehicle probably took about a half hour. The old stuff was nasty and black/grey when I pulled it out. The more you get out, the clearer it becomes. Look into it; an average Joe can do it. It probably needs to be done about every 50k miles. It costs me about $40 per vehicle.
