What's new

All things related to the Xbox platforms

I dunno about peso's but somewhere had them down to about $360 in the last week or so and included $100 worth of other stuff. Would've had the console cost down there quite a ways. Had I known then 3D BD was coming, I might have bought a second one to take the spot of my PS3 in the family room.

Guess I am not the only one pissed about the new xbox one getting 3D support before the PS4. There are whole threads of people pissed and threatening to leave for xbox one now.

Thought about a separate thread for this, but I don't think anyone cares about FIFA 15 too much.

So, the guy being put on the cover in the US plays for the Seattle Sounders, who are sponsored by Xbox. Guess they have to put him in a team US jersey for the cover shot on PS3/4 games. Understandable, but I kind of had to laugh at the though of if EA just said F it and put him on the cover of a PS4 game wearing a green jersey that said Xbox.

Target has a $50 gift card with the purchase of the Xbox one this week I guess.

Couldn't decide where to put this. Will just leave it here for now. First trailer for the Halo TV series... Wonder if it will actually be any good.

They announced a Madden 2015 bundle yesterday, $399 and includes a digital copy of the upcoming Madden release.

Bigger rumor to me is that the also announced Sunset Overdrive bundle would be with the elusive white version of the Xbox One. Sharp looking, but wouldn't really fit in with all the black boxes around the house...

I say go for it. Then give me the other xbox one.

The online/multiplayer ecosystem they have is tough to beat. Party chat, game chat, match making, etc. It was solid before and with the big investment in the Xbox Live servers at Xbox One launch, it will only continue to improve.

Haven't found any good summaries of the Xbox Gamescon event, but seems to have been plenty shown:

Quantum Break (yay!) - some game site said it looks like Alan Wake (same studio), but with time control

Halo 5 beta in Dec.

White Xbox One confirmed - Sunset Overdrive bundle

CoD Xbox One shown - comes with 1TB drive

Below will be out in 2015 (finally!?!)

Rise of the Tomb Raider to be Xbox One exclusive

New indie games shown

Some theme park simulator.

Pre-order / pre-download of digital games starting in September with the new Forza Horizon game and FIFA 15

Many new upcoming features announced to be in the updates over the coming months.

I'll have to track down better info. http://news.xbox.com has some of the news, including a video of Quantum Break. http://www.majornelson.com has more on the updated features coming, or a recording of the full event, if you have 2.5 hours to spend watching...

Meh nothing really excites me from there. I did see that they came out with a Madden Xbox package.

Madden, CoD, or Sunset Overdrive packages. Quantum break is the one thing I wanted to see more about and will have to watch.

Anyone interested in some of the upcoming indie games, check out the video @ the link below. It's the full briefing, but jump to about the 13:45 mark and you'll see a couple minute collation of many of them, followed by some more in depth looks at some of them.
