Well it looks like I am ordering my Dad a M4 mini as well, the computer is finally dying. It will be his first Mac, but with him having an iPhone and only using internet and email, I think it will be perfect.
 
So my wife is not very good with her credit card. I am always on her for leaving it in the car or lying around. I have so many automatic payments to it that it would be horrible if it were lost. So I told her the other day about click to pay on your iPhone. It acts just like a tap and pay, but you don't even need your credit card. She told me that she had been using it everywhere now. So I have never personally used it as well, but lately I have been using it. Now that our state allows legal identification for storing your driver's license on your phone. I don't really even need a wallet anymore, just strictly my phone since I never use cash. Does anyone else use this feature from your iPhone?
 
I tell you what, a Mac mini is a perfect little machine for older people. The simplicity of the web browser, with big favorites displayed on the front page. The bubble alerts on the messaging app and email are perfect for them. The built-in easy no-brainer remote assistance. Not having to worry about spyware or viruses. Not being able to get deep within the files or system without knowing what you are doing. Easy to install apps/ easy to uninstall apps. Everything just works. Plus, the built in Apple icloud is like having its own cloud backup being built in, so recovery is easy. If you're looking to upgrade your parents' PC, I can't say how perfect a Mac OS is for them.

Meh, never really got interested in the MacBook. I don’t understand people that buy them and then just dock them to a monitor at home. I get it if you are going to and from the office or take it along with you, but if your just docking get a Mac Mini.

I don't know how I missed this today, but iOS 26.4 is out. It's a big update with tons of new features.
