What's new

Inflation & the upcoming recession

Ya I don't really believe that. Then you have to ask yourself. If they can do this, why don't they just do this now then? Also, I think this is the old gasoline trick, they might lower stuff by a couple of cents and technically it is cheaper, but it's not what it used to be.

Yes that would take massive deflation. You won't see prices back to where they were before covid.

I tell you this inflation is starting to hit home now. I noticed that my Cellphone is going up $5 per line. So, there's an extra $15 a month. Internet just went up another $20. My insurance rates are going up. Groceries are up. Everything just keeps digging at you more and more and yet my wage is staying the same.

A friend of mine and some others were helping his father in law replace shingles over the weekend...anyways they wanted Five Guys for lunch and it came to $95 for 5 people. :ROFLMAO: He said he was glad the father in law picked up the check haha. He knew they were expensive but hadn't been there for a long time.

I have heard 5 guys are insane anymore.

My boss went out to a Mexican joint on Sunday, said their bill was $80 for 4 people. He was pissed about it. At this rate restaurants will close because I see more and more people just cooking at home to save money.

I went to buy bottled water the other day because we were heading out of town. I normally like Fiji water but has probably been about a year since I have bought one. I walked in and I expected to pay about $1.50 for one, it was $3.89 for a small bottle. Then I looked at the rest of them. The cheapest deal was 2 for $5.00. For a bottle of water! So I said screw this and left thirsty.

Isn't Fiji water usually the most expensive water? I don't think I've ever had one due to that :ROFLMAO:
