Minimum wage increases like this will only hurt middle class business owners the most. The big corporations will only do layoffs and further cut people from jobs thus becoming more of the problem. Why? Because all for the top 1% to keep their lavish lifestyles and power. They are the problem. Wealth condensation (rich get richer and poor get poorer), will continue as long as it's able to.
I really laid off buying beef lately. I just can't justify the cost. But one thing that I have noticed is all the brown meat in the display when I walk by now. Plus all the reduced price stickers on everything. You see a grocery store has to always stock the meat whether someone is buying it or not. It's just how they operate. If you don't have it, you can't sell it. But also your display with all the brown meat also scares people off, and $2 off a $42 steak no one is still going to purchase it. I wonder how much meat they are just throwing away now?
