Lawn mowing

I got the big mower battery all charged up, the push is nice but taking me too long, going to blast it out fast tonight.

 
My yard is currently in a strange state, I water everyday and while it’s staying green there is not really any growth. The same thing happened to me last year as well. It’s like I have reached a perfectly balanced state of yard nirvana.
 
Just got the first mowing of the season done. Looks like it was just a short few days ahead of last year. The Honda ran well. Rain coming Monday.
 
I can always tell when fall comes because I no longer feel like watering or mowing. For about two weeks I kind of stopped and then started to yellow my lawn and felt bad so I have been heavy watering again and brought it back. I mowed my side and back over the weekend and it looks damn good. This time of year, the heat isn't as intense and the sun isn't as intense so it's actually easier to keep your lawn green.
 
It's amazing how fast they bounce back. It has been very dry here, tried to water in places as it was looking rough. Then we get an inch and half of rain and it looks just like lush spring out there.
 
Well I did the last mowing for the year (I think) yesterday. Getting a nice rain today. Temps should be low enough soon to put an end to the growing season.
 
Looks like my first is shortly around the corner. I am not ready for this.

Well, I mowed some portions of my yard today as well, not all of them, but where they were starting to get long, I am not ready for this.
 
I haven't used my rider in the last 2 years. I broke it out today and got her running. Man what a time difference, I think I might just go this route all year now. Double the cur ratio each time with the dual blades as well. It cut really nice as well, had a nice smooth look to it.

Stupid dandelions and no rain. Hasn't rained in a month. Rained for the first time yesterday since early Spring & then wildfire smoke poured in from Canada on the same night.

I, of course, was asleep with my face near an open window because it was 90 degrees yesterday & I was anticipating the weather drop. Woke up at 3am with a raw, damaged throat from directly inhaling the most acrid wildfire smoke ever for 4 hours while sleeping

What do you think of all the new electric lawnmowers out there? I was out of town a few weeks ago and watched a guy using one. What was crazy it was dead quiet.

Very popular in my area. See more of them all the time. No interest personally.
 
The part that turns me off is that the batteries lose their life and need to be replaced. Doesn't matter if it's dewalt your any other brand. Gas powered stuff just works better typically.

If you read the replies down before in that thread, it seems like some guys are running older models and they are still going strong.

but I have 10-year old Ego Push Mower, with a 7.5Ah battery, that I've been using at home, and I haven't had to replace the battery yet, or mower yet, which is crazy to me.

Same, I've been using an EGO push mower for 9 years and the battery is still great!

I guess I can't really dispute it, the neighbors who have them just recently bought them so I'm sure their batteries are fresh. Maybe somehow the mower batters last longer than other things. I think they would be great for single ladies who don't want to mess around with gas and oil changes though. Same goes for snow blowers.
 
I had to run up to look at a project and they had an Egopower mower there and had the battery sitting on the table. It's not as heavy as I thought, I asked him about it and he said it works really well, but only gets about an hour of mowing out of a battery, but like he said, if you have a small enough yard they work great.
