October during midterms is traditionally terrible, plus the war. Probably in the meat grinder until that's over.I am really shocked that SpaceX stock isn't doing better than it is. With all these talks about the technology, even Tesla's unveiling of their new car, and nothing.
Happens to everyone eventually if you pick individual stocks. Gonna have a few clunkers along the way. Hopefully the good investments more than make up for it over time.Have you ever gotten into a stock where you're losing so badly you just ride it out, hoping to recoup your loss?
Less to do about the hack and more about the massive AI spend not producing revenue results (yet) for the big companies. Rotation is happening out of the mega caps to other areas of the market. Consumer staples, health care, energy, etc. Plus the midterms, the war, and October. Mix of a lot of stuff. That Bitcoin hack (from Ai) scared everybody, because they know it could happen to the market as well.
To expand a bit further, for the first time in decades, some of the Mag 7 companies are going free cash flow negative. They are spending more than they are bringing in to build out AI. And the market was good with that during the initial phase, but now they are being punished. The companies that are being a bit more fiscally conservative being rewarded. Getting to the point of a "put up or shut up" time to prove AI will bring in the revenue they claim it will. Remains to be seen.Less to do about the hack and more about the massive AI spend not producing revenue results (yet) for the big companies. We all knew it was never going to work. But hey, at least we got some cool videos of cats and dogs dancing! I never saw any revenue coming from it; it's mostly for our government. Time for a bubble pop!Getting to the point of a "put up or shut up" time to prove AI will bring in the revenue they claim it will. Remains to be seen.
The good news is people who share that line of thinking are preventing valuations to get too out of control like it was during the dot.com bust. This is nothing like that mania yet.We all knew it was never going to work. But hey, at least we got some cool videos of cats and dogs dancing! We got the red wave!Well, they gave us one good day to get out, and now we're going to pay the price for months to come.
