I know two friends who have bought EV's within the last year. And neither were Tesla which I thought was weird. And they aren't anti-Elon either or dems. I would rather just get the best EV brand if I were to do it. One was a Jeep and the other Nissan. I guess one neighbor down the street did pick up a Tesla car recently but I don't know him very well.
My friend who bought the Nissan EV just uses it as a town cruiser to go back and forth to work. They have a gas vehicle for longer trips. He said the EV is unusable for that currently.

I saw a grandpa and grandma driving one and it was the funniest thing ever.
It is odd that Elon, supposedly all about the kids, wouldn't make more of a family vehicle by now.
