I always just used the shave gel stuff for the actual shave. Nothing afterwards. What do you guys prefer for an aftershave? A lotion style or liquid?
No aftershave to close up your pores?I always just used the shave gel stuff for the actual shave. Nothing afterwards.
Do you find less irritation with it? The last time I shaved my neck looked like I tried to end myself. I did put some beard oil on it which seemed to help. I do you aftershave but man it was bad. I might pick myself up one to try. The Costco special is pretty decent with the travel case and extra heads to last for 2 more years.I use an electric as a finisher after the blades. Just to go over everything again and get the ears and neck. I just have an old one I've had forever.
What I like about using an electric after regular razor is that you don’t have to buy new razor blades that often. Not that you want dull blades but you don’t need to constantly have brand new ones this way.Well, I tried a dry shave this morning. There is circular technique to it vs. a up and down motion of a regular razor. It worked ok, then I went over it with a regular razer to see what it missed, and it wasn't much. You can't get your sideburns or your upper lip by your nose those. My next shave I will try a wet shave with it to see the difference.
Never thought about it like that. My face feels 'softer', but it's probably placebo. What I like about using an electric after regular razor is that you don’t have to buy new razor blades that often. Not that you want dull blades but you don’t need to constantly have brand new ones this way.
Now try regular razor first and finish with electric afterwards. So, I tried the electric razor again. This time I got my face wet in the shower and got out and tried it (no lube or shaving cream). I didn't care for it as much as the dry shave with the electric. It seemed to get less. I still followed up with a normal razor.
