Back to this list. Madden used to be a yearly staple up until maybe 2012 or so when life got busy and the games got worse. College though SO GOOD. Tecmo Super Basketball on the SNES was so good. Just fast and fun gameplay, real teams and players, seasons with stats. Just awesome.

Tecmo Super Basketball was so underrated. Was there a better feeling than pulling up for a long three and having the graphic come up that meant it was going in? So good! Jordan and Drexler were amazing in that game.
 
Let's discuss the original XBox 360 Kinect. I know many will see as a failure, and I agree a little, but it holds a special nostalgic memory to me. The year it came out I remember all the ads and hype about it and what it could do. My wife got it for me that Christmas. Days before kids had plenty of time to play games which you sometimes forget how things were different. Anyway, I remember getting it setup, configured and playing in the small space, just big enough, in our first home in the basement game and computer area.

I enjoyed the games well enough to say to me it's worth it. Of course the younger body had less problems than would now. I know a few years back oldest son and I played it a bit and had some fun.

Neat device, I think I gave mine to you. It was during the whole Wii/Rockband era or physical interaction with games. I really enjoyed that era. My kids would love that era as well but unfortunately the video game industry has moved back to the lazy sit on the couch era again. I don't know what changed, everything just died off all of a sudden. In a way the Kinect might have been ahead of its time. It's kind of like the VR trend. I think it might be the future, but it just hasn't hit its mark yet.
 
Starfox was so awesome. Such breakthrough graphics at the time with this polygons. I had such a sweet setup upstairs in my room. My own little tv. I thought I was setup so good. I would use the big joystick pad for it. I kept beating it over and over.
