What's new

Inflation & the upcoming recession

You want to talk about things raising in price, when was the last time you bought batteries? I mean like a good Duracell brand pack of AA? I use rechargeables, but wanted a good pack of name brand AA batteries. I think the last time I bought a 4 pack they were anywhere from $3-$4 a pack. Now they are $9-$10 a pack. Literally doubled in price. It probably has something to do all the materials going to battery powered cars now.

Not only that but also the batteries for power tools, lawn care accessories, etc.

I went into the grocery store with my family last night. Things are getting bad fast. Just like I said for this year. A bag of Ruffles chips, not the large size but medium $6.99!!! That used to be $2.99 last I remembered. I was blown away. I have never put so much stuff back on the shelves as I did last night. Insane!

One of my favorite chips, Tostidos, hint of lime, was $3 pre-pandemic, went to $3.50 for awhile, now $4.38.
Not buying them at that price, good excuse to lay off them as a snack.
