What's new

Inflation & the upcoming recession

Good luck with China, it's really the only country that matters in this whole ordeal.

Sounds like Target is really starting to scale back and layoff employees lately due to low sales.

Something has been increasing the price of beef lately. At our local grocery stores, it has gotten to the point, unless something is on sale I can't afford beef anymore. Even with the sales sometimes I will pass over it. One T-bone is about $30.00 by itself now. I swear last year they were about $15.00.

My boss also said he was in Costco yesterday and they raised the price on their beef as well as the seafood prices.

I keep seeing all this talk about no one visiting Las Vegas anymore. Is it really so hard to understand? People can’t afford it anymore. The majority of people goto Las Vegas to gamble, when you don’t have extra money you aren’t going to gamble.

It's getting insane, it's not just me noticing, I ran into so many strangers complaining about the same stuff lately. To me it's the early stages of collapse of a country. America can't go on like this. When you are raising wages to compete, which then in return raises prices in a never ending cycle, eventually it collapses. I know personally I can't afford this stuff anymore. I can't get ahead anymore, and am just going backwards each and every month.
