Inflation & the upcoming recession
People don’t care what until it starts to hit them personally.
I'm kind of in the middle of this issue, but equal trade doesn't mean fair trade. Also, Japan makes some of the best quality vehicles, and the US can be a hit or miss, so why would they want our vehicles. In any case, the can was probably being kicked down the road over the years for some change, hopefully for the better.
Something has been increasing the price of beef lately. At our local grocery stores, it has gotten to the point, unless something is on sale I can't afford beef anymore. Even with the sales sometimes I will pass over it. One T-bone is about $30.00 by itself now. I swear last year they were about $15.00.
My boss also said he was in Costco yesterday and they raised the price on their beef as well as the seafood prices.

It's getting insane, it's not just me noticing, I ran into so many strangers complaining about the same stuff lately. To me it's the early stages of collapse of a country. America can't go on like this. When you are raising wages to compete, which then in return raises prices in a never ending cycle, eventually it collapses. I know personally I can't afford this stuff anymore. I can't get ahead anymore, and am just going backwards each and every month.
