$700 and if you want the disc drive you have to purchase that separately. Not really new gen just improved graphics (supposedly) and new frame rates. At this price you might as well purchase a PC.
 
I was reading that the PS5 30th anniversary edition hasn't been selling very well. I think just as others do that it's just too much money. They should have just sold it for the normal MSRP with the new skin colors.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but I have been away from both consoles for a good year, I have been in the mood lately, so I fired my Xbox back up and it seems that in a years' time, not many new games have come out for it. So, I pulled up PlayStation side, and they have had way more releases. What gives?

They're just losing hard in terms of sales to Nintendo and Playstation and are grasping at anything it seems.. not complaining, Xbox came way after any type of "console success" in my mind. Played the original Nintendo like you.

Halo is reportedly coming to PlayStation soon according to a report from IGN. A leaker uncovered the plans for Microsoft to port Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PlayStation 5 soon. That’s not the only place it’s going, though, as the leaker also indicated that the recently announced Nintendo Switch 2 would likely get the collection as well.

So I am going to say it, I have been in the mood to play video games again lately. I just recently setback up my Xbox, got my games installed etc. I did find that even though I haven't played anything in the last year, there haven't really been any exclusives to the Xbox. I did purchase an exclusive game for my PlayStation yesterday and I haven't fired that up in a while as well. I own both systems, both systems are great and all, but the thing that separates the two out is the PlayStation controller. The controller makes the PlayStation next gen. It's my favorite part of the console.
 
We went the Xbox route but I'm glad to see Playstation make a strong comeback. Competition is a good thing.
 
I picked up the Witcher 3 on PS, I always hear people rave about how good it is. @C Pav have you played it?

No have not played it yet. Trying to think if I even have it or not. Don't think so.

Haha okay I actually have played it a bit. Not sure if I own it or if was on Gamepass but yeah played it. Good graphics and gameplay. Does take a bit to learnt he controls and such for combat. Also a bit of travelling required to get around. Might have to give it a look again if I own it.

I received my PlayStation Portal yesterday. Quality packaging like Apple from Sony this time around. I was surprised opening it. The 8" screen is perfect, not too big, not too small. The screen is very bright and vivid, looks like the Switch Oled that we have even though it's just a lcd. I had to turn the brightness way down. It runs at 1080p at 60fps. The setup was fast and easy to connect to your wi-fi, scan the QR code and it will ask if you want to pair on your PlayStation app. Then you have to go to the settings on your PS5 and select a setting to allow remote play. Make sure your PS5 is in sleep mode and that's all there is to it. I played a few games to try it out, every works just like you are in front of the big screen tv. It was nice just longing on the couch in the living room and being able to play it or walk around the house @C Pav did I mention you could take it on the toilet with you?
