Already ordered them. I have the receiver and an updated antennae already - the goggles should be delivered Thursday.I put the upgraded motors and battery stuff onto my drone, but haven't mounted and soldered on the camera yet. Guess I'll have to get around to that in the next few days so I'm ready to give it a test that night.

If you have any local RC hobby shops, check and see what they have. If you don't want a camera, you could look into the RTF (ready to fly) Blade Inductrix - you won't be able to do much outdoors if there's wind, but it's a fun little thing inside and a good learning drone. I've had a lot of fun learning on mine - comes with a controller. I've heard of the Hubsans as well, though haven't used one. Blade also makes a number of slightly larger drones than the inductrix that could be fun indoors and maybe outdoor as well. I think the Nano QX is another the hobby shop here had and was trying to recommend. With the popularity of the "Tiny Whoop" version of the Inductrix though, there's a lot of upgrade options and things out there for it (faster motors that might make outdoor flight in mild wind a little better and such).
I did capture a bit of some of my attempts at flying with the upgraded motors and the camera mounted on my now fully Tiny Whooped inductrix. It flights quite a bit differently with the upgraded motors alone, but was fun, the camera weight also effects it, and the FPV flight is going to take some getting used to compared to just using line of sight. Ya not around here.Cool video! I see you have your glasses. Is it weird wearing them? Do you get motion sickness, or feel like your body needs to move? I saw the ones you got and they are spendy! I see your dogs sure didn't like it. Looks like you started to get the hang of it towards the end. The video quality wasn't bad at all for streaming. Been looking all morning again, then I started getting deeper and deeper with carbon fiber frames etc.

One dog hates it, he hides. The other loves it, he wants to chase it and attack it. The quality is pretty crummy because it's a super tiny camera and doesn't do anyting close to HD. The quality could be far better - the camera has a transmitter and the goggles have a receiver and it's an analog signal, so not much different than WiFi or Over the air TV.
I can fly it a lot better without the goggles on - just going to take some getting used to for flying it with FVP where it seems like in the cockpit compared to seeing it line of site. FPV is easier to know left and right if you are turned around, but a little more difficult if strafing left/right rather than rotating since you can't see what is to the direct left or right of the drone. It's more fun with FPV though since you can go anywhere and not have to follow it around.
I do feel like I have to move my head at the moment, but that should pass. It's a lot like driving a car. Just need to remember turning my head does nothing and I need to turn the drone to see what's left or right. Also, on controllers it's the left stick that rotates view, and the right stick that strafes - so opposite of first person shooter controls on the xbox that I'm used too.

I like the body style and it does have a 720p camera (not that big of deal to me but it would be fun I guess). I have been watching videos on it all morning. Doesn't seem as snappy as the standard Hubsan model, but it's more made to hover.

You plan to fly it outdoors only? I like the Inductrix for beginning and learning to fly a bit, mostly because it can be flown indoors safely and is ducted to help protect motors and props. Granted, the frame can break with enough crashes, but it's like $8 for a new frame, so pretty easy to swap things out and just keep on going.
Biggest thing with most of the RTF models that come with a cheapo controller and such is that they are made to just fly around and they auto-level when you release sticks. The ones that would be real fun to fly will use a better controller where you can tune things up, have it adjust throttle a bit when steering to maintain altitude better, and most avid hobbyists want to run flight controllers with betaflight software these days it seems. They also hate things that auto-level and are big proponents of flying in "full acro" where you can easily do flips, etc, but you have to level it off to hover, if you start turning and release a stick it keeps turning.

Kinda cool I hadn't heard about this.Just trying to go cheap and have something to experiment with at first. Still thinking about that Parrot rolling spider also. I should just go with the Syma though since it seems to be a larger one.
There are a number of drone related flight simulators out there, but Liftoff is intended for learning FPV flight and testing possible setups. It's currently an early access game on Steam, and is a collaboration with the makers of FatShark and ImmersionRC FPV drone racing equipment. Well I went with a Hubsan X4 Mini H107C+ I noticed that I had some Prime credit built up so it only cost me under $5. I figured it will get me started and have a fun little thing to play around with. Some of the reviews are so so on it. Alot of guys don't think it's as snappy as the lower older models but this is basically for my to learn on. It does have a 720p camera. Not FPV though.

I'm sure there's plenty of options to make it FPV out there, though may be a fair amount of work. Will be interesting to see what you think, and looking at the size how well it does outdoors with much wind.
As you play, just keep in mind that the controller you are getting and the flight controller on that thing are mostly made for a quick ready to fly solution they can sell cheaply to masses. Something upgraded or built with better quality parts can be made to do sooo much more and to perform so much better than any of these RTF out of the box things.

Ya all afternoon I have been looking at stuff for them. New carbon fiber bodies, New rotors, etc. Looks like a lot if 3D printed stuff for these and mods everywhere. It was confusing when I first looked at them, but everything is starting to make sense now. Thanks for getting me addicted!
