PlayStation Gaming Discussion – PS5, PS4, Games & Sony PlayStation News

@@jmanz, you also mentioned you loved the controller. What about it do you love? I used to think I liked the PS3 controller, then I found out how much I didn't after using the 360 controller.

What makes the PS4 controller better than the PS3 controller? What about the touch area in the middle? I've stared at that controller and cannot figure out how the touch are could be used comfortably while holding the controller in a traditional manner. I have a PS Vita and the touch area on the back never seemed very sensitive, and even though it is right at your finger tips while holding the device it was never that easy to naturally use and not always very responsive either...

I just read a user review on reddit from a user that has both consoles. One point about the PS4 that stood out is the ability to have all sounds from games played through headphones connected to the controller. Correct me if wrong. Anyway that is a huge plus for anyone with wife and small children(who actually care as a parent) and can't or don't want to play loudly.

Dude just get one, you have the cash.urnDsRt.gif
But I want the One! Make a deal with you. Go with me and I will buy both together if they have them in stock. I am serious.

Why, you always say this to me, we go and you stand around like a hen pecking then your go, no I better wait. EVERY TIME!

SHow me the video or proof of anytime I really wanted something, they had it actually in stock and I did this. See I always get bailed out because they never have it in stock....

I know Amazon has been getting these back in stock alot lately, lasting a few hours then going back out of stock.

Umm... since when can't you do this on any console? Unless they have it on the cheap ass headsets. If you get a decent headset, it's possible on any modern day console (including 360 or PS3 as well). You just need something from Astro, Tritton or Turtlebeach. TB's use the mixamp from Astro.Anyway, they all work by hooking up an amp of some form to the optical output on the console, then headphones to the amp (or wirelessly with some). Mute the TV and hear everything through headphones. I have Astro A50's which work well with my 360 or the Xbox One. The one thing on the One is I hear everything, but the mic part doesn't work for chat since the One doesn't use the 2.5mm plug, until they get an adapter out early next year (or I make my own if I really wanted as per many done online)

Spoke to a co-worker this morning. Said he played his friends PS4. He said it was nice, an improvement on graphics compared against the older console. He. was playing Battlefield 4. I asked him if he would get one. He's always been an Xbox fan, but said he's going PS4 this time for the time being until Halo comes out.

Now that the Holidays are over I think you are going to see them everywhere.

Looks like the PS4 are having thumb stick problems?

DS4 thumb sticks might have a problem?

One thing tempting about the PS4 is they have Trine 2 Complete story on there and not on the Xbox one.

Macroaxis: Sony Has 79% Chance of Going Bankrupt in the Next 2 Years.

According to Macroaxis, a financial engineering tool website that analyzes companies and determines their well-being, Sony Entertainment has a discouraging 79% chance of going bankrupt in the next 2 years

http://gaminrealm.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/368f0d42aaa83d013e9719f758e2ed95.png

Based on latest financial disclosure Sony Corporation has Probability Of Bankruptcy of 78%. This is 182.34% higher than that of Consumer Goods sector, and 163.57% higher than that of Electronic Equipment industry, The Probability Of Bankruptcy for all stocks is 122.48% lower than the firm.

While it wouldn’t be factual to say that SNE will fail in the next 2 years (it’s all a guess), the 78.49% figure is based off of real, actual numbers. Many will consider this number overly inflated, but it all doesn’t sound too far-fetched when you take into consideration some of the things that have been happening over in Sony Land. Last year, Sony’s market value was slashed down to “junkâ€ status, and they’ve sold multiple HQ buildings as well.

Not to mention, Sony still hasn’t recovered from all of the money they’ve lost on the PS3, and the Vita is still not profitable and isn’t selling as well as it should.

For comparative purposes, Macroaxis is stating that Nintendo has only a 22% chance of failing in the next 2 years , which is very ironic considering the fact that the majority of gamers and journalists online are always claiming that Nintendo is in imminent danger, when in reality Nintendo is very healthy and Sony is the actually the one closest to failing out of the console manufacturers. Microsoft is sitting off to the side with only 1% chance of failure.

It's interesting and a little surprising to hear that they still haven't recouped their losses from the PS3. The Vita being non-profitable isn't too surprising. I wonder how much of a loss they are taking on each PS4 sold. I seem to recall hearing that at $399 they would at least be losing a little per console, and generally it would take a couple years or better for manufacturing costs to change enough to make a difference.
