Installed the new firmware update this morning. Woot 3d support some other fixes improved audio etc.

Change list:

  • Playback of Blu-ray 3D is now supported.
     
     
     
  • Sound quality has been improved during 1.5x playback with Blu-ray Discâ„¢ and DVD videos.
     
     
     
  • System messages previously displayed on the top-right corner of the screen are now displayed on the top-left corner of the screen.
     
     
     
  • [Featured Content] has been added to (Settings) > [system] > [Automatic Downloads and Uploads]. When this setting is enabled, featured content from the PlayStation Store is automatically downloaded while the PS4 system is either powered on or in standby mode. To download while in standby mode, go to (Settings) > [Power Save Settings] > [set Functions Available in Standby Mode], and then turn on [Connect to the Internet].
     
     
     





 
Wish they would announce the next free games for Plus. I am still on my trial and would be able to get them.

People are speculating possibly Flower because Japan got it. Guess we will have to wait and see until maybe Thursday.

ughh I hope not. Flower was a good game i played it on the ps3, but I was hoping something in line of Killzone.
 
How long is your trial? You can "purchase" it with your trial, but you can also only play while membership is active, so wouldn't you need to pony up to continue playing?
 
Also, I laugh when people say they are hoping to see one of the main exclusives for a console be the "free" game already... Not saying it wouldn't happen, but I think your chances of that wish being fulfilled are slim

Yes I would but at least they would be added to collection and later if I re-sub I already have them.

That's a debatable statement, since what games are/are not big/good is all a matter of opinion. I know they've done some big games, but I don't know if you'll see one of their AAA exclusive titles already.Have they done any big ones recently? It seems to me that it's been a while since I heard of any bigger games coming to the program early in their life cycle. Seems like they've accomplished their goal of getting people on PS+, so will they keep the big named ones coming?

I see that PS Now is supposed to go open beta tomorrow. I suspect this is why Sony didn't want to offer EA's subscription, since they are working on their own. At least they say a subscription model is still in the works. It sounds like for now most games on this service are $2.99 for 4 hours.

The article I read also mentioned it's all PS3 games and that Sony wouldn't comment on why PS1/PS2 games are missing or if they still plan to bring old classics to the service.

 
It's still beta they won't keep their prices like that. Like I'll comment on it when it's out of Beta.
 
I guess we'll see. Generally I would expect that while in beta the selection be limited and prices lower than normal.
 
Sounds like the Ryse franchise may not be exclusive that much longer.

While many had assumed that Ryse: Son of Rome would remain an Xbox One exclusive, Yerli clarified that Crytek has always maintained control over the IP. "Ryse is our IP. We do what we want to do with the future of Ryse. This is important." When asked about the IP appearing on the PlayStation one day, Yerli repeated, "We can do whatever we want with it with whoever we want."

Guess we'll see what they do with it. It will be on PC, and maybe they have the resources to do it on PS4. I'm mostly just curious to see if Crytek makes it any longer or not. I don't want to see another big gaming studio go under, so hopefully they do.I think Yerli is feeling the pressure. Check the URL below. I guarantee I'd be one of the employees getting pissed if I wasn't paid for 2 months and I'd be more pissed when the guy came out saying I was impatient or that he was upset because I got upset....

I heard that they ended up finally paying them though. But still that's not a good sign.
 
yeah, they eventually paid, but not a good sign for the company and going to be tough to keep any developer worth their pay around. Even if they stuck it out, they are looking for something new after that.
