PlayStation Gaming Discussion – PS5, PS4, Games & Sony PlayStation News

I thought it was announced to be in 2015 over this past weekend. The game I'm actually most excited for in 2015 is cross platform - Arkham Knight.
Well I'll get it for the One....!

Looks like the Order of 1866 may make it out in Feb. If so, perhaps a PS4 with a couple exclusives will make a good bday present to myself in March

I guess the Plex app just hit the European Playstation.
Do you use Plex? I set it up on my media center PC, and while the app has been out on Xbox one for a while, I haven't done much with it...

No I know my Drobo can use it though. I have heard great things about it.

I think this will only be on brand new models coming in early 2015. Could be wrong, maybe they'll offer the app on recent smart TV models.

Beyond that, this is PS Now, so you'll be paying a rental price to play and it sounds like the controller will have to be wired? I suppose on new sets they could put something in them to make it wireless?

Ya lol saw that yesterday. I am surprised that Walmart at first wouldn't believe him. It's their own fault for not checking when someone returned it. Once he went to the news etc. they panicked.

I'm not surprised they didn't believe him. If it were me, I would've just assumed the guy went home, hooked up the PS4, put some rocks in it and came back attempting the return. I guess for $399 they gave in, rather than possible bad publicity, but I don't blame them and I would've held out on policy or for proof.

As a consumer, he should've checked before he ever paid if he knew it was an open item. Then again, Walmart should've checked before sending it out the door too.

Playstation Plus games for January.

Infamous First Light & The Swapper (PS4)

Duck Tales Remastered & Prototype 2 (PS3)

Duke Nukem 3D & Woah Dave (Vita)

Sony has detailed subscription options for its game-streaming service PlayStation Now.Subscriptions are broken down into two different pricing options, with one month costing $20, or three months for $45.
Starting from January 13 on PS4, the subscription service grants users instant access to the PS Now game catalogue, which current houses 100 PS3 titles at present, but will be upgraded in the future to include titles from other Sony platforms. As well as that, Sony also mentions that for users looking to try out the service, there’s a seven day free trial.

Still way to much money for it. $9.99 would be top for it. Should be more like $5.99.

Agreed. $20 / month is a bit steep for access to old games. Even with all new games $20 a month might be a bit steep given at the end of the day you don't own any of them.

Will be interesting to see figures for the coming months. Lots of sales shortly after release (a couple games per console I'd wager), but a pretty steep drop off with an uptick around the holiday gift shopping. With new consoles in market, will the sales go up from the Dec 31st figure, will they remain fairly even, or will they continue a downward trend. Plus, how will their subscription service start to cut into sales or play into profit margins.
