They are still widely available around here. I have seen then so many times. I didn't know they were still hard to find?

They sale them down in your town? I go to the stores here enough to know they are not widely available around here and have not been since several weeks before Christmas. Unless new stock has been put on shelves since last Saturday I am sticking to this.

 
Well the last time I was at Walmart a week ago maybe? They had 3 in the glass case on the bottom shelf. Also 4 xbox ones. But they could had just got them in stock. So who knows.

I always check Walmart in my town just for the fun of it and I have not seen a single PS4. EVER. And I've made multiple trips through the weeks of our bathroom remodel getting odds and ends.

 
PS4 sold 250k, Xbox One 100k in Germany

Sales of PS4 and Xbox One for Germany were previously a guarded secret. Now the figures for the German market were abandoned and Sony also has the edge. Since launch of the PS4 on 29 November PS4 250,000 consoles were sold in Germany by the end of December 2013. The Xbox One appeared in this country on 22 November and has sold 100,000 copies. The figures are derived from the market research company Media Control GfK.

PS4s are corrupting game saves.

Sony has told Eurogamer it is aware of a mysterious PlayStation 4 error which is affecting users' save files.PS4 owners who experience the mysterious CE-34878-0 error have reported finding their saves corrupted for some of the platform's biggest games."We are aware of the cases and we appreciate your patience while we investigate," a Sony spokesperson told us.

A 36-page thread on the official PlayStation forum, dug up by IGN, documents the troubles of hundreds of PS4 owners.

The thread includes cases of users losing progress in an array of titles, such as Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14 and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

The spread of the issue - across multiple games and publishers - suggests its origin lies with Sony's hardware itself.

"Lost 40 hours of playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag," PSN forum member kickson123 complained. "Now I dont want to spend another 40h with possibility for same thing happened again. Also have PSN plus account and I was expecting that all my saves are 100% safe. At moment I am very disappointed in Sony."

Saw this the other day (last night or the night before). Battlefield 4 had this issue on its own across platforms. Not cool that it's impacting all games. Sounded like in some cases it was rendering the console useless (error opening any app or game). I'm sure they'll have a fix out ASAP on it though.

 
I finally saw PS4's in stock at our local Walmart. I think they had 3. First time I have seen them available.
 
Well I got to see the PS4 up close and personal thanks to @jmanz . I have to say the unit is way smaller than the Xbox one. But the thing I was really surprised at was the controller. I mean lets face it the PS3 controller was to light and cheap feeling. But they made a huge improvement. It has a nice balance and it seems like a little wider stance? The graphics were amazing. His basketball game was more real looking than a real basketball game. Played a few demos and they were great too. I was going to stay away because I thought the controller would be like the PS3 one but I was impressed. All they need to do is put out some more games. But I had originally written it off but now it's back on the table.
 
To bad @ndboarder will never be able to experience this game. I know he enjoyed the first one.
