What's new

PlayStation Gaming Discussion – PS5, PS4, Games & Sony PlayStation News

Nintendo would only win if they announce new hardware. They struck gold with the Wii because it was something new and got non-gamers interested in a console. Then the novelty wore off. I think I read that Ubisoft has a bunch of finished Wii U games, but they aren't going to spend to produce or advertise them until it has a bigger install base.

They seem to have struck out with the Wii U, the controller tablet thing didn't take off and the other consoles offer second screens on tablets, phones and seemingly more options coming.

They'll always have loyal followers for their exclusive games, and they got cash to keep going, but they've got a lot of catching up to do.

PC's definitely seem to have a renewed focus. Seems more of the AAA console exclusives are now console exclusive + PC. I still prefer a console because the $400-500 investment will last years and let me play anything that ships for it. PC for gaming will cost more up front and need upgrades more frequently

It still sucks on how on the new Batman game that you only get to play cat woman on the xbox version, while the ps4 gets Batman to play.

What is this the gamer tabloids now?

First it does not matter who wins E3 or any other game event. Shouldn't the gamers be the one we all want to win? I remember way back when it was Nintendo and Sega. I had a Nintendo and a friend was Sega. We never went to each others houses and said "Nintendo sucks and I hope it loses" or "Sega is trash and should just give up". We enjoyed each system for what they were. They had games and we liked games so we played games.

We should not want one system or the other to fail. We need all systems to create competition and bring out more games and options for us to enjoy.

Don't come in here with stupid remarks like "Sunset what? No one really cares about this..." because that is Sony favoritism talk. It is a big deal to Xbox One gamers. Same could be said by any XBox One fan about any Sony only game.

I am in the middle with the systems. Microsoft could have done better in some aspects of the system but I do like what I have played so far. Nintendo needs a price drop for me to consider it. Sony does have a power house system so I can't lie there. They are doing great things this gen. Handhelds have been quiet lately and are in their own league. The PC is also it's own thing. I don't look at a PC as a game system. You can build a great gaming PC but remember you can also use it for work related things, email, internet, porn...I mean work...... Anyway I wish we would tone it down in here with the bashing of the other systems...or not.

No Man's Sky was the game that stood out to me the most. Being able to transition from the ground to space and back to another planet was amazing!

Abzu - I watched the trailer. It looks good, but after 1:47 of watching, I have absolutely no idea what it actually is as far as game play.

PS4 is best-selling console for five months straight in the US

PlayStation 4 was the best-selling console in North America for the month of May, which marks the fifth consecutive month it's achieved the plaudit. Sony's new console also managed to move more titles than any other platform.Watch Dogs was the best-selling game overall in May with worldwide sales confirmed at over 4 million, with Mario Kart 8, MLB 14, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Minecraft, Spider-Man 2, NBA 2K14, Titanfall, Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Call of Duty: Ghosts rounding out the top 10.
Next month's results should reveal the impact of Microsoft's decision to sell Xbox One without Kinect. Will this enable the console to reclaim the top spot on the chart? Time will tell.

Apparently the order 1186 no other console can handle the power.

peaking at a recent Sony event in New York, J Goldberg, community manager at Ready at Dawn, said the studio came up with the idea for The Order: 1886 while still making games for the PSP. However, the game's main conceit--an experience that feels like a movie but plays like a game--required a console with the right technical specifications. "We couldn’t have achieved this graphical fidelity with any other console," Goldberg said.
